Italian translated literally as "dying of hunger," Its an insult to someone who is desperate for money.
I'm in love with this.
So you ate cucuzza (aka, "Serpent of Sicily") in its home. I just cooked one from my garden last night. An amazing fruit. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
Doesn't look like you're 50lbs fatter. You got some good genes to be able to eat all that and stay so tiny.Of course it could also be your age, or you work out whenever you're not eating.....Is cucuzza a squash or a fruit (or both) but really, is it sweet???
I'm just going to assume that when you got back someone smacked you for rubbing it in that you were in Sicily eating all that stuff. Just evil.
Okay. The reason why I didn't gain 50lb. is because the only sweet that I really like was the cannoli. I HATE SICILIAN PASTRIES! Always have. So I tried everything, but I didn't engorge on it all the way I did the cucuzza. That strainge vegetable is very zucchini like in texture, but it has its own flavor, which is slightly sweet but not fruit-sweet. Casino - I got smacked in the face with 5 days of rain and no sunlight when I got back. And sucky food!
These are great. Your hair in the crema di cafe one is awesome! you should try to capture that look.
Love it, love it, love it!!!Lotza good looking food for sure. The pic of Rocco eating the Silican pizza is awesome.Killer pics....looks like a great time was had in Sicilia Jen. --K
I love Sicilian food. What a food marathon you had: love it!!!P.s. I did not see caponata...did you try it??? my favorite!
