SICILIAN HAND GESTURES: PART 1

SICILIAN HAND GESTURES: PART 1
As we all know, if Sicilians didn't have hands, then they would be mute. Tie a Sicilian's hands behind his back and his words fall on deaf ears. So aside from Sicilian phrases, Rocco, who has 100% Sicilian hands, will be demonstrating Sicilian Hand Gestures. Warning: some of the images in this series are graphic and contain violence. They are not for the easily offended and should not be tried in front of your Nonna, except this one. This first hand gesture is actually complimentary. When you are eating a delicious meal, and you make this hand gesture, you are communicating how much you enjoy the food. Its the Sicilian equivalent of a long, "mmmmm..." or "yummm..." or "this is the best freakin' thing I have ever eaten I my entire life." Stay tuned for Rocco's elaboration in the comments.

hahahaha I look forward to what is to come from this series! I'm only half Sicilian, but man, I got the full gesturing gene! I've only recently learnt to control it a bit!

This is so funny. I have learned many hand gestures from my own Sicilian family so I will compare notes! BTW your photos on your blog are beautiful and I am enjoying scrolling through and looking at them.
